KATHMANDU: Ramesh Bhattachan of Swoyambhu Recreation Centre won the men’s individual recurve title of the Laxman Shrestha Memorial fourth National Indoor Archery Tournament here at the National Sports Council covered hall on Tuesday.

Bhattachan defeated Ashim Sherchan of Kaski 6-0 in the final match. Prem Prasad Pun of Swoyambhu came third.

In the women’s category, Nepal Army Club’s Gyanu Awale came first with a 6-0 win against Rashmi Darlami of Kaski. Likewise, Dev Bahadur Roka Magar of Annapurna Club won the men’s individual standard category title beating Damber Thapa of TAC, while TAC’s Keshari Ale Magar came first in the women’s section after she defeated Rojina Thapa Magar of Annapurna.

Hom Bahadur Thapa Magar of Kanchanpur won the men’s individual compound category title with a 132-131 win over Sanatan Malla of Rajdhani.

Nepal Olympic Committee President Jeevan Ram Shrestha among others handed over the prizes.
