LALITPUR: Sneha Rajya Laxmi Rana equalled her own record of 389 points in the 10-metre Air Rifle shooting during a selection for the 12th South Asian Games here at the Satdobato Shooting Range on Wednesday. Phool Maya Kyapchhaki and Ashmita Rai scored 385 points each but Kyapchhaki finished second with better series shot. In men’s section, Pawan Ghimire from Dang was ahead with 569 points, while Sanjog Krishna Shrestha and Ramu Paudel were second and third with 541 and 539 points respectively. In women’s 10m Air Pistol, Sabita Basnet of Nepal Police Club was first with 363 points, while Sima Tuladhar and Rubina Shrestha were second and third respectively. In men’s section, Ram Lal Gurung of Tribhuvan Army was ahead of Yam Bahadur Gurung and Prakash Rai. A total of six players from both section will be selected for the regional games.
