LALITPUR: Rana sisters Mayanka and Mahika advanced to the girls’ doubles final of the 14th Jayakar Memorial National Open Tennis Tournament here on Tuesday. They beat Bibhuti Karki and Bijisha Shrestha 6-2, 6-2. Likewise, Mathema twins Catherin and Eni registered a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Khushi Pandey and Prerana Koirala to set the semi-final date with Abhilash Bista and Era Rawat. Renjan Lama and Sakshyam Karki advanced to the boys’ doubles semi-finals along with Adit Subedi and Saharsha Chand. In U-14 girls’ singles, Era, Isha Shree Shah, Prerana and Abhilasha made it to the last four, while Sakshyam Karki, Renjan Lama, Vivek Shrestha and Anthony Rai advanced to the U-18 boys’ singles semi-finals. Also, Aditya Subedi, Pranav Manandhar, Ayushman Ghale, Rijan Shrestha, Aki Juben Rawat, Prasiddha Basnet, Manthan Joshi and Aarav Samrat Hada entered the quarter-finals.
