Kathmandu, February 20:

Aarti Rana of Global Bank scored 19 points to win the Banker’s Cup Golf Tournament at the Gokarna Golf Club here today.

Played over nine holes on stable ford full handicap format, Twinkle Khetan of Laxmi Bank came second with 13 points. Ranjan Thapa of Global Bank came first

in the men’s section with 13 points, while Gaurav Shah of Himlayan Bank finished runner up.

Aarati Rana teamed up with Ranjan Thapa as the duo totalled 32 points to hand the team trophy to Global Bank. Laxmi Bank comprising of Twinkle Khetan, Bhuwal Rai, Sanjeev Joshi and Amit Singh Karki finished second with 20 points. Pradeep Rayamajhi of Himalayan Bank received the best sportsmanship award.

The tournament was held for the participants of the Golf Clinic organised by the club. In all, 25 players took part in the Clinic and participated in the the tournament. General Manager of Gokarna Forest Resort Vikram Singh, CEO of Himlayan Bank Ashoke Rana and Director of Himalayan Bank Bijaya Bahadur Shrestha gave away prizes to the winners.
