S Africa expect Pakistan challenge

Port Elizabeth, January 17:

South Africa are expecting a stronger challenge from Pakistan in the second Test starting at St George’s Park here on Friday.

Mohammad Yousuf will be back after missing Pakistan’s seven-wicket defeat in the first Test at Centurion, while Umar Gul and Shoaib Akhtar could both strengthen bowling line-up.

South Africa are likely to field an unchanged team, with Dale Steyn still struggling with a thigh strain. There has been discussion about the possibility of rotating the fast bowler to give Makhaya Ntini and Shaun Pollock a break before the World Cup in the West Indies in March.
