Pokhara, September 30:

Sachin Raut of APF and Bimal Kumar Singh of Kanchanpur entered the men’s 48kg final in the 22nd Men’s and first Women’s National Boxing Tournament here today. Sachin beat Surya Bahadur Rana of Nepali Army and Bimal defeated Nawal Rai.

Anil Dahal of APF and Devendra Bachhunje of Nepali Army advanced to the men’s 51kg final. Devendra Thakuri of Nepali Army and Devendra Limbu of Sunsari entered the men’s 54kg final. Making it to the final of men’s 57kg were Amar Maharjan of Kavre and Dinesh Shrestha of Nepal Police. Ajit Gurung of APF and Santosh Karki of Kaski advanced in the men’s 60kg event.

Tulasha Thapa of Kavre and Maya Chaudhary of APF entered the women’s 48kg final. Sumitra Napit of APF and Sabitri Lama of Makwanpur entered the final of the 50kg event.

Mala Rai and Sami Lama entered the women’s 46kg final. Kaski District Boxing Association is organising the tournament in coordination with the Nepal Boxing Association.
