Lalitpur, December 23

Samrakshak Bhushan Bajracharya and Mayanka Rana won the U-18 singles titles of the 15th Jayakar Memorial National Junior Tennis Tournament here at the Satdobato Tennis Complex courts today.

In boys’ section final, Bajracharya came from a set down to beat Pranav Khanal 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, while Rana outplayed Prerana Koirala 6-2, 6-4 in girls’ section final.

On Friday, Abhilasha Bista and Adit Subedi had won the U-14 singles titles, while Aarav Samrat Hada and Eva Adhikari were the winners in the U-10 singles category. Likewise, Saksham Bikram Shah and Sunira Thapa claimed the U-9 singles gold medals.

The pair of Samrakshyak Bhushan Bajracharya and Samyak Bhushan Bajracharya won the U-18 boys’ doubles title, while Rana sisters Mayanka and Mahika won girls’ doubles event. A total of 59 players took part in the tournament organised by Man Jaykar Tennis Academy.
