KATHMANDU: Saraswoti Youth Club advanced to the semi-finals of the second Roj Bahini Chandragiri Gold Cup Football Tournament here at the Naikap grounds on Tuesday.

The A division outfit, Saraswoti defeated hosts Deepshikha Youth Group 2-0.

Sujit Budhathoki and Sanjeev Lama scored one goal each for the winners.

Budhathoki won the man-of-thematch award along with Rs 5,000. On Wednesday, Chyasal Youth Club will take on Birgunj United in the last quarter-final match. Top two teams will get Rs 600,000 and Rs 300,000 respectively, while the best player of the tournament and the highest scorer will earn Rs 30,000 each.
