Kathmandu, May 11

South Asian Sports Journalists’ Association of Nepal (SASJAN) felicitated sports journalists here today.

Sports journalists Ajay Phuyal and Ramsudan Timilsina were awarded with the Ishwor Man Singh Sports Journalism Awards. Phuyal of Nagarik and Rajdhani’s Timilsina received felicitation letter and Rs 25,000 each.

Sarita Shrestha of Avenues Television received the Statistics Sports Journalism Award sponsored by Nepal Olympic Museum, while Rawjendra KC of Annapurna Post and Rajesh Thapa Magar were honoured with photography and videography awards — sponsored by Nepal Ring Wrestling Association — respectively. All three journalists received Rs 10,000 each along with appreciation letters.

Rajendra Shrestha of Rajdhani Daily was rewarded with the Chess Journalism Award and received Rs 10,000 and felicitation letter. Minister for Youth and Sports Satya Narayan Mandal, President of Nepal Olympic Committee Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Secretary of Federation of Nepali Journalists Dhruba Lamsal among others felicitated journalists.
