SCP Crazy Golf 2005 on January 29

Soaltee Crowne Plaza is organising the SCP Crazy Golf 2005 on January 29. According to the organisers, 31 teams — having four players in each team — are taking part in the tournament. “The rules are going to be crazy, that will make one laugh, have fun, and still give that strong impulse to putt it right,” said the organisers in a statement. “It is such a golf, which has a language of its own,” the statement added.

The participating teams are British Embassy, Indian Embassy, Embassy of Korea, British Gurkhas, UN Staff Association, Himalayan Bank, Kumari Bank, Sikhar Insurance Ltd, Nepal Tourism Board, Saleways Department Store, Gorkha Brewery, KIA Motors, Bhotekoshi Power Company, Nepal Lever, Surya Nepal, Pepsi, Honey Enterprises, DHL, Himalayan Distillery, World Distribution Nepal, Nepal Recreation Centre, The Himalayan Times, Himal Media, The Boss Magazine, Kantipur Publications, RNAC, Gulf Air, Qatar Airways, Air Sahara, International Resource Group, and Soaltee Crowne Plaza.

The winners will get Kathmandu-Frankfurt-Katmandu or Kathmandu-London-Kathmandu air ticket for one by Gulf Air, while the runners-up will be awarded with Kathmandu-Delhi-Kathmandu air tickets for two by Air Sahara. The organisers also informed that there will be lots of surprise prizes which they would disclose only on the event day.

Honorary Joint Secretary of Nepal Golf Association Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha and his team have lent their support to the event, said the organisers. The event is supported by Gulf Air, Air Sahara, The Kathmandu Post, Johnny Walker Black Label, Carlsberg, KIA Motors, Metro Mall, The Boss, Nepali Times and Tag Heuer.
