SCP Super Sixes from November 15

Soaltee Crowne Plaza (SCP) is organising the SCP Super Sixes cricket tournament from November 15-19 here at the Tribhuvan University Stadium.
The organisers have increased the number of participants to 20 teams from previous year’s 16. The teams are divided into four pools and the top two teams from all the groups will advance to the quarter-finals after a round-robin league, said the organisers at a draw ceremony today.
Defending champions Soaltee Crowne Plaza, runners-up Kumari Bank and the losing semi-finalists Himalayan Bank and Indian Embassy were given seeds for the draw. Soaltee Crowne Plaza, British Gurkhas, Surya Nepal, NIC Bank and Standard Chartered Bank are in Group A, while Kumari Bank, Kantipur Publications, Shikhar Insurance, Spice Nepal and Gorkha Brewery are in Group B.
Himalayan Bank, Bank of Kathmandu, Machhapuchhere Bank, Prisma Advertisors and Nepal Merchant Bank were drawn in Group C, whereas Indian Embassy, Chaudhary Group, The Himalayan Times, Nabil Bank and Nepal Investment Bank are pitted in Group D.
Spice Nepal, Chaudhary Group, Prisma Advertisers, Machhapuchhere Bank and Shikhar Insurance are the new teams in the ninth edition of the tournament, said Sharad Upadhayay, convenor of the tournament. Cricket Association of Nepal will provide the technical assistance to the event. CAN joint secretary Sashi Dutta Pandey, member Pawan Agrawal and umpire Binay Kumar Jha are in the technical committee.
Mero Mobile of Spice Nepal is the main sponsors of the tournament, while Carlsberg and Cathey Pacific Airlines are the other sponsors and Ournepal.com the official website of the event, informed the organsiers.
