Shantinagar, KCTC advance
KATHMANDU: Shantinagar Youth Club and Kathmandu Cricket Training Centre advanced to the semi-finals of the Khukuri Challenger T20 Cup here at the Mulpani cricket grounds on Tuesday.
In the quarter-final matches, Shantinagar beat Tribhuvan Army Club by seven runs, while KCTC saw off WaiWai Great Himalayan Cricket Academy by 24 runs.
In the first match, Shantinagar posted 128-8 in their allotted 20 overs and restricted TAC to 121-8.
Shantinagar’s Yogendra Singh Karki, who claimed four wickets, was named the man-of-the-match.
In the second match, KCTC scored 123-7 riding on Sudhir Chaudhary’s 60-ball 64 that included seven boundaries and two sixes.
In reply, GHCA were packed for 99 runs in 18.4 overs. KCTC’s Chaudhary won the man-of-the-match award.
