KATHMANDU: The fourth general assembly of Kathmandu District Chess Association on Wednesday elected nine-member executive committee under Amrit Chandra Shrestha.

Sabin Maharjan and Sabin Munikar were elected vice-presidents, while Narayan Shrestha and Imran Khan were elected secretary and treasurer respectively.

Likewise, Rajala Joshi, Amit Tamang, Ratna Maharjan and Hikmat Dahal were elected as members.

National Sports Council vice-president Lama Tendi Sherpa handed over the certificates to the newly elected office bearers.
