Suraj Shrestha won the title of the Pilot Golfers Amateur Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club today.

Played under stableford 3/4 handicap format, Shrestha accumulated 47 points to win the trophy along with return tickets to Sharjah for two from Air Arabia. Deepak Karki came second with 41 points and he received return ticket to Pokhara.

Bharat Bastakoti claimed the gross section title with 36 points and he received return tickets to Pokhara for two. He also bagged the most birdies award with five birdies and received gift voucher from Vivanta Kathmandu.

Dr Rita Thapa won the women's category trophy with 33 points and she got return tickets to Pokhara for two along with twonight stay at Hotel Temple Tree from Rara Noodles. Arshiya Banu came second on count back after she was tied on 28 points with Bishnu Kumari Ale. Banu received gift hamper from Hotel Everest.

Pradip Kumar Shrestha lifted the senior section award with 36 points, while Man Krishna Kumar Ale came second with 35. Shrestha earned return tickets to Pokhara for two along with two-night stay at Swiss Hotel, while Ale got gift hamper from Hotel Shangrila.

Rabin Rana and Kalpana Limbu bagged the longest drive and closest-to-the-pin titles respectively and they received gift hampers from Summit Hotel and Koto Restaurant.

A total of 74 players took part in the tournament organised in memory of Capt Badri K Shrestha. The twoday event was sponsored by pilot-cum-golfers Capt Rabindra Purush Dhakal, Capt Deepak Thapaliya and Capt Vijay Pratap Singh along with Sabita Shrestha, spouse of Capt Badri K Shrestha. RNGC President Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha, former president Rabindra Man Shrestha, Capt Rabindra Purush Dhakal, Capt Deepak Thapaliya, Sabita Shrestha and RNGC Captain Rajendra Man Sherchan handed over the prizes to the winners.
