KATHMANDU: Zest Badminton Academy on Monday honoured the Pakistan International Badminton Series medal winning players.

Dipesh Dhami and Shobha Gauchan, who won mixed doubles gold medal in the November 9-12 tournament  in Islamabad, received Rs 15,000 each.

The pair of Dhami and Gauchan defeated defending champions Nangshal Tamang and Ratnajit Tamang in the final. Tamang siblings were honoured with Rs 8,000 each, while pair of Bishnu Katuwal and Sunaina Mukhiya, who finished third, were awarded with Rs 5,000 apiece.

Nepal Badminton Association President Ramji Bahadur Shrestha and former Vice-president Naresh Bahadur Singh, former National Sports Council Member Secretary Kishor Bahadur Singh and AIPS-Asia Treasurer Niranjan Rajbanshi among others felicitated the shuttlers.
