DAMAULI: Siddhagufa Youth Club defeated Navayuva Club 1-0 to win the title of the Seven-A-Side Open Football Tournament here on Thursday.

Aas Gurung scored the solitary goal of the match in the second half. Siddhagufa received Rs 77,777, while Navayuva Rs 38,888. Aas Gurung was named the best player of the tournament, while his Siddhagufa teammate Bhakta Thapa was the highest scorer and Prabin Gurung of Samriddhi Botetaar was named the best goalkeeper.

A total of 34 teams took part in the tournament organised by Byas Youth Club. Construction Entrepreneurs Association of Tanahun President Basan Thapa, District Sports Development Committee President Rishi Ram Bhushal, President of Byas Youth Club Jeevan Gurung among others handed over the prizes to the winners.
