Soaltee Crowne Plaza Annual Golf tomorrow

Kathmandu, May 8:

The Soaltee Crowne Plaza (SCP) is organising the SCP Annual Golf Tournament at the Royal Nepal Golf Course on Saturday to mark the first anniversary of Kakori-Cuisine E-xquisite, an Indian restaurant.

Around 100 golfers including enthusiasts from corporate houses are expected to take part in the event which will be played under stableford 7/8 handicap format. The SCP, in the past, had been organising the Soaltee Challenge Trophy, but the tournament could not get continuity due to various reasons.

“We are organising the golf tournament to focus towards all the corporates in the city,” said Grees Bindra, General Manager at the Soaltee Crowne Plaza. “I always feel that something must be happening in the hotel and this brings lots of peoples from different walks of life under one roof,” added Bindra, who along with Board of Directors at the Soaltee Crowne Plaza, BB Shrestha will be taking part in the tournament.

Bindra also claimed that the tournament would be a different one than others and will get continuity every year. “We not only have attractive prizes in various categories, every golfer will get a chance to win at the Hole No 5 - which will be called Crowne Plaza Hole,” he informed.

“The previous tournament could not get continuity due to technical reasons, but this one will be a regular event,” he claimed. Apart from the regular prizes, there will also be some surprise prizes. “The golfers will get to know about these prizes on the match day,” said Bindra.

The prizes include night-stay at Crowne Plaza, Delhi and Gurgaon and holiday package to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia including the air tickets sponsored by Flyyeti.com and jet Airways.
