LALITPUR, MARCH 3
The All Nepal Football Association on Thursday asked the Nepal Super League to stop the players' auction and sit with agitating A division clubs for negotiations.
The ANFA decision came after the football governing body had separate meetings with representatives of A division clubs and NSL.
The Nepal Sports and Event Management Pvt Ltd, the organiser of the NSL, had announced the auction for Friday after receiving a list of 242 players - divided in three categories - from the ANFA and they are in no mood to postpone the event. "We had separate meetings with the clubs and NSL representatives.

The A division clubs demanded dialogues after postponing the auction, while NSL was ready for talks but not stop the auction," said Tuladhar. "We felt sitting in talks after stopping the auction as an appropriate option and decided to write to the NSL."
The second edition of the NSL is scheduled to kick off on April 9 in Pokhara. Nepal Sports and Event Management President Sudeep Sharma said they would go ahead as per the schedule.
"We are here to contribute to football and the ANFA should support us instead of issuing such statements on the eve of an important schedule. We've completed all preparations and we have got the list of players provided by the ANFA for auction. As of now, we are in mood to go ahead with the schedule," Sharma.
He also said the demands of A division clubs were not clear. "We have already agreed to pay 30 per cent of the players' salary to their respective clubs. The players need to produce release letter from their clubs with that clause and ANFA should have a clear policy in this regard," he said.
