Sunakothi Chela Sangati beat Kirtipur Church 3-1 in the third day match of the Inter-church Football Tournament being organised here by Christian Sports Fellowship of Nepal at the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) complex, Satdobato.

Suman Ale Magar opened account for Kirtipur Church in the 28th minute. Despite first half lead, the team wilted as the Kirtipur players failed to maintain their lead. Rabin Khadka of Sunakothi Chela Sangati scored the equaliser in the dying hour of the first half.

Rabin, again in the fourth minute of the second half netted the ball giving the team 2-1 lead. Rajesh Thapa netted the third goal and sealed the victory.

In the second match of the day, Prasamsa Church defeated Mahima Church 3-2. Bikarna Shrestha opened the account for Prasamsa Church in the 15th minute. Prasamsa Church dominated the first half and scored other two goals. Arjun Shrestha scored the second goal of the team in the 29th minute, while Bikarna scored his second and team’s third goal in the 41st minute.

In the second half, Mahima Church players showed much more determination and scored two goals. Deepak Gurung scored both goal for the team in 13th and 21st minutes of the second half.

According to the draw, Koinonia Patan Church will take on Gwarko Church, while the second match is scheduled between Valley View Four Square Church and Srijana Church at the same venue on Tuesday.
