PHIDIM: Sunsari XI defeated Agni Rupandehi XI 3-1 to reach final of the ongoing IX Ruslan Falgunanda Gold Cup held in Phidim, of Panchthar district, on Thursday.

Tirtha Basnet broke the dead-lock on the 12th minute in the first half in a pulsating semi-final encounter, played at the Phidim Higher Secondary School's ground.

Sunsari's Hemant Thapa notched a goal on the 47th minute of second half and Sujan Yakha added another in the 73rd minute.

T-shirt Gurung scored a consolation goal in the added minutes of the second half.

In tomorrow's another semi-final of the tournament, Morang XI will take on Birta United Jhapa, according to the organisers.
