DHANGADHI: Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Manang Marshyangdi Club 3-1 to book its place in the final of the second International Invitational Nepal Ice Farwest Khaptad Gold Cup Football Tournament on Saturday.

Captain Bharat Khawash, Nawayug Shrestha and Santosh Tamang netted one goal each to send departmental team into the last four of the tournament being held at Dhangadhi Stadium.

Although Heman Gurung gave an early lead to MMC scoring an opening goal in the ninth minute but then TAC struck three goals in the remaining minutes of the match.

TAC captain Khawash leveled the score in 23rd minute while Shrestha and Tamang netted two other goals in the 45th and 88th minutes respectively. Striker Shrestha was declared the man-of-the-match and received Rs 10,000.

TAC will now face the winner between Armed Police Force and host Far-western XI in the title clash.
