KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club won the team event titles of the third National Fencing Championship under the NSC Championship on Friday.

In the men’s section Foil event, TAC saw off Central 45-38, while their women’s team beat Nepal APF Club 45-33. APF and Central came third in men and women categories respectively. In individual event of Foil, TAC’s Rajan Raj Khadka beat APF’s Mahesh Prasad Bhatta to win gold medal, while Central’s Jeevan Shrestha and APF’s Sher Singh Airee came joint third.

In women’s individual event, TAC’s Sunita Budhathoki claimed gold beating Mandira Thapa of APF. Urmila Majhi and Anita Adhikari of APF finished joint third.

TAC also won gold in women’s team event of Epee with a 45-27 victory over Central. APF bagged bronze medal. In men’s section, APF claimed gold beating Central 45-38, while TAC came third.
