TAC win title
MUSTANG: Tribhuvan Army Club ‘B’ won the title of the first CoAS High Altitude Tri-Adventure Competition here on Friday.
TAC duo of Deepak Singh Bhandari and Pratap Thapa completed the 100m rock climbing, 4.75km running and 13.35km cycling in one hour, 19 minutes and 44 seconds to finish first. Man Bahadur Thama and Basant Thapa of TAC ‘A’ finished second in one hour, 20 minutes and 50 seconds, while Laxman Malla and Kiran Malla of Nepal APF Club ‘A’ came third in one hour, 21 minutes and 11 seconds.
Top three teams received Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively. A total of 15 teams competed in the event organised by TAC. Chief of the Army Staff Gen Rajendra Chhetri handed over the prizes to the winners. — HNS
