KATHMANDU: A seven-member taekwondo team, including five players, on Friday left for Macau to take part in the Macau Open Taekwondo Championship slated for May 27-30.

Nishchal Basnet (48kg), Paras Bhandari (51kg), Bishal Gole (54kg) and Pradeep Kandel (84kg) will compete in the men’s category, while Surmula Babu Miya (55kg) will take part in the junior’s section.

Team leader Firoj Shrestha and coach Bablu Shiwakoti also accompanied the players to Macau.
