KATHMANDU:  Tribhuvan Army Club’s Ratnajit Tamang and Nabin Shrestha won men’s singles first round matches of the second Zest National Open Badminton Tournament here on Wednesday.

Also, Nepal APF Club’s Bijit Thapa, Sudeep Sedhai, Sajan Krishna Tamrakar and Suman Limbu as well as Nepal Police Club’s Gautam Kathayet, Bishnu Katuwal, Dipesh Dhami and Deepak Bohara also advanced to the second round.

Likewise, Sunil Joshi and Prince Dahal of Sherpa Traders, Jeevan Acharya and Nir Bikram Devkota of Complete Health Club entered the second round in men’s doubles event.

Earlier, Minister for Youth and Sports Rajendra Kumar KC inaugurated the tournament, being organised by Zest Badminton Academy.
