LALITPUR: A five-member Nepali sotokan karate team is on Sunday leaving for Japan to participate in the ninth World Sotokan Karate Championship to be held in Tokyo from August 11-17. Mahesh Shrestha and Ajit Kumar Shrestha will take part in the championship. The team also includes coach and President for Nepal Sotokan Association Hem Kumar Shrestha and team managers Radheshyam Khadka and Dayaram Bhattarai. Minister for Youth and Sports Ganesh Nepali and acting Member Secretary of National Sports Council Bishnu Prasad Lamshal bade farewell to the team. — HNS
