LALITPUR: The All Nepal Football Association on Sunday appointed Ananta Raj Thapa as head coach of the women's national team.
All Nepal Football Association General Secretary Kiran Rai handed over the appointment letter to former national team member Thapa, who is also the coach of Nepal Police Club.
The post was vacant after Kumar Thapa resigned following the Women's SAFF Championship in September last year. The ANFA also appointed former women's national team member Ganga Gurung as assistant coach, Suraj Kumar Lama as goalkeeper coach and Bindra Dewan as team manager. Nepal and India will play international friendly match in February.
