NEPALGUNJ: Jangu Tharu and Rupa Tharu won the titles of the Lumbini Province-level Banke MTB Challenge here on Saturday.
Jangu completed three laps of 4.5km trail in 52 minutes and 27 seconds to finish first in men's section. Dev Bahadur Bohora came second in 53:27, while Shiva Prasad Tharu was third in 56:32.
In women's section, Rupa Thary completed the two laps of the same trail in 51 minutes and 41 seconds, finishing ahead of AC Shrestha (1:00:10) and Rima Tharu (1:02:02).
A total of 19 cyclists including six women took part in the event organised by Banke District Cycling Association under the technical support of Nepal Cycling Association.
