Three Nepali cricketers in top ten ICC ranking

Three Nepali cricketers who were part of the Plate Championship winning squad in the ICC U-19 World Cup have found their place in top ten players’lists in the batting, bowling and feilding departments.
Wicketkeeper Mahesh Chhetri is fourth in the most fielding dismissals list behind W Perkins of West Indies (18), Sarfraz Ahmed of Pakistan (15) and P Shah of India (14). Chettri dismissed 12 batsmen from six matches— nine stumpings and three catches. Basanta Regmi and Ratan Regmi figure in 48th and 51st in the list.
Skipper Kaniska Chaugain is seventh in the most runs scorer chart. With two half centuries, Chaugain scored 234 runs from six innings with an average of 39. Sharad Vesawkar, Gyanendra Malla and Basanta Regmi are 19th, 30th, and 33rd in the most run-getters list. Vesawkar had scored 166 with an average of 33.2 including unbeaten 82 while Malla scored 145 runs with an average of 29 that included a half century (64). The hero of the Plate Championship final, Regmi scored 141 runs averaging 28.2 including a match winning 66
against the New Zealand.
Regmi is 8th in the most wicket takers list with 12 wickets with an average of 16.25. With 7, 6 and 5 wickets Paras Khadka, Ratan Rauniyar are 40th,50th and50rd. in the list.
