Three Nepali cricketers included in ICC T-20 rankings
KATHMANDU: Three Nepali players figure in the new rankings of the T-20 announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
ICC issued the new rankings on Thursday night. The Nepali players who figure in the ICC T-20 ranking include captain Paras Khadka, Sompal Kami and Basanta Regmi.
Khadka has climbed to the 38th position in the ranking of all-rounder player with a rating of 76 which is the highest ranking in his cricket career. He was in the 40th spot in the rankings last month.
The Nepali players' ranking has been improved after the Nepali team clinched the T-20 International Series held recently in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Sompal, who got 60 points in 'all-rounder' category, is in the 50th place of the new ranking. He was in the 51st place before this. He is in the 71st position while Basanta is in the 72nd place towards bowling in the ranking with the equal rating of 409.
