Three Star, Chyasal win

Ruslan Three Star Club and Valley Chyasal Youth Club registered wins in the Pulsar Martyrs Memorial A Division League here at the Nepal APF Club grounds today.
Defending champions Three Star defeated Mchhindra Football Club 1-0 to register their seventh win in the league. With the win Three Star moved to second with 21 points ahead of CMG Club Sankata on superior goal difference. Unbeaten Signature Manang Marshyangdi Club are at the top with 24 points after their eighth straight victory.
Ranjit Dhimal scored the solitary goal of the match in the 12th minute. Three Star earned the spot kick after Machhindra defender Anjan Devkota handled the ball inside the box on Nirajan Khadka’s attempt. Machhindra goalkeeper Deep Karki guessed right and managed his palm on the ball but he just could not stop Dhimal from scoring his seventh goal of the league.
Three Star also created a couple of chanced but they failed to convert any. Ranjan Bista’s header on a corner from Sunil Bal was saved by Machhindra custodian Karki in the 21st minute, while Anil Gurung wasted a chance in the 28th minute. Karki also punched out Awang Albert’s powerful strike in the 35th minute.
Earlier, Chyasal defeated Brigade Boys Club 2-0 in Lalitpur derby. Santa Bahadur Gurung and Sanjok Rai scored one goal each for Chyasal, who moved up to sixth position with 13 points. Tribhuvan Army Club (17) and Nepal Police Club (14) are fourth and fifth respectively.
After a goalless draw, Gurung put Chyasal ahead in the 65th minute when he headed home following a corner from Chhiring Gurung. Chyasal doubled the tally in the 82nd minute after Rai found the back of the nets on a pass from Santosh Sahukhala.
Chyasal were reduced to 10 men three minutes later when Sahukhala received marching orders for his second bookable offense.
