Kathmandu, November 6:

Nabil Three Star Club and New Road Team (NRT) advanced to the final of the All India Sikkim Governor’s Gold Cup Football Tournament in Gangtok on Tuesday.

Both the Nepali clubs won their respective semi-finals and will play for the championship on Wednesday.

Ju Manu Rai scored a brace as Three Star edged out Punjab Police 2-0 while NRT beat Nigerian Eagles 2-1 on goals from Anil Gurung and Khum Gurung.

Ju Manu put Three Star ahead in the 28th minute following Pradeep Maharjan’s pass before adding another in the 54th minute.

Anil Gurung scored for NRT in the 46th minute following a pass from Khum Gurung before Gurung scored in the 65th minute.
