NTA elections illegal: Rana

KATHMANDU: Rukma Shumsher Rana, president of Nepal Olympic Committee, said that Kishor Bahadur Singh’s announcement to hold Nepal Taekwondo Association elections was illegal. “The elections was not as per the IOC/OCA Roadmap, as the NTA under Singh was dissolved and the body headed by me was restored as per the IOC/ OCA roadmap,” said Rana. “So the elections announced by Singh is illegal,” he said. — HNS

Vettori to miss first Test

WELLINGTON: Left-arm spinner Daniel Vettori has been left out of the New Zealand squad for the first Test against Sri Lanka starting at Napier on Monday.
