LALITPUR: National Engineering College (NEC) entered the quarter-finals of the Inter-Technical College Football Tournament on Wednesday. NEC got walkover from Thapathali College. The IoM and Kantipur also advanced despite playing a goalless draw. In another match, Kathmandu Engineering and Pulchowk Engineering College also played 0-0 draw. — HNS

Ramailo Badminton

LALITPUR: Dhruba Lal and Kamal Raj advanced to the veterans’ doubles semi-finals with a 24-26, 21-18, 22-20 win over Bhimsen Gurung and Subhash Rai at the sixth Ramailo Badminton Tournament. Also through to the mixed doubles semis were Daud Rai and Shiva Limbu. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Bright Future and Tokha Valley won their respective matches here at the third Loyalty Cup Valleywide Inter-school Junior Football. Bright Future edged Alpine 6-5 in penalty shootwhile Tokha beat Jagat Mandir 2-0. — HNS
