White House win

KATHMANDU: White House and Prime College won their women’s section matches at the sixth Prime Cup Inter-college (+2) U-19 National Basketball Championships on Monday. White House beat Xavier International 25-12 and defending champions Prime overcame Oriental 32-17. Winners in the boys’ section included defending champions Gyanodaya, Chahana, Xavier International and White House. Gyanodaya thrashed Kathmandu Valley College 59-28 while Chahana edged past Wimit 45-33. Xavier saw off National College of Computer Studies 32-16 and White Hose beat Aviation 41-25. — HNS

Four teams share lead

KATHMANDU: Gyanubaba, Fishtail, Nepal Police Club and Nakhipot Youth Club shared the lead atop the third Dhorpatan Blue Sky Cup Women’s Championship with nine points apiece on Monday. Gyanubaba defeated Rai Team 25-10, 25-7, 25-7 before edging past Nepal Volleyball Club (NVC) 25-20, 25-18, 25-19. Fishtail beat NVC 25-13, 25-21, 23-25, 23-25, 15-13 and Third Division recorded a 25-23, 25-23, 25-12 win over New Diamond. — HNS
