KATHMANDU: Bhagwati Club and Srijansil Youth Club advanced to the Group A final in the C Division League qualifying tournament here on Friday. Bhawati crushed Nava Pravat Youth Club 7-0 and Srijansil knocked out Rudramati Youth Club 7-6 in sudden death after a 2-2 draw in another Group A semi-final. The winner two teams will secure one of the four berths available for the C Division League. Also, Sadabahar Samaj Club edged Purba CD Club 1-0 on a gaol from Bharat Dhital. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Kalika Secondary School of Rupandehi and Social Secondary School of Pokhara to enter the final of the Inter-Secondary School National Football Tournament here on Friday. Kalika edged out Siddhartha Vanasthali 2-1 and Social sneaked past Depot Secondary School of Sunsari. — HNS

Football agitation

KATHMANDU: A committee formed to fight against the atrocities of All Nepal Football Committee (ANFA) announced its agitation programme here at a press meet on Friday. The Joint Agitating Committee on Friday demanded a dissolution of ANFA and its so-called parallel Nepal Football Committee and form a new ones within the next 35 days. The agitators said they would hand over a memorandum as their first step before taking up more stern actions. — HNS

Chess tourney

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chess Association and Democratic National Youth Federation are jointly organizing the second Madan Memorial Open Youth Chess Tournament from July 16. About 150 players will take part in the tournament. The top three winners will receive Rs 11,111, Rs 9,999 and 7,777 respectively. — HNS
