KATHMANDU: Bijeshwori School and AVM School entered the girls’ team event final at the United Running Shield first Nationwide Inter-school Table Tennis Championship that began here on Sunday. Bijeshwori defeated Canvas and AVM outplayed Ulliens with the identical scores of 3-0 in the semi-finals. Likewise, Ganesh Memorial, Bijeshwori, United ‘A’ and ‘B’, New Horizon of Butwal, AIMS, AVM and Siddhartha Vanasthali made it to the boys’ team event quarter-finals. — HNS

LALITPUR: Nepal Commerce Campus defeated Thames College 2-1 in the inaugural match of the Inter-college BBA Cup Running Shield Football Tournament on Sunday. Samip Poudel and Subash Thapa scored for NCC, while Samir Karki pulled one back for Thames. — HNS

Jyoti Academy in final

KATHMANDU: Budhanilkantha School and Jyoti Academy advanced to the final of the first Central Region School-level Boys Handball Tournament, organised by Sadabahar Khelkud Samaj, on Sunday. Budhanilkantha ousted Laboratory School 11-5 and Jyoti Academy defeated St Xavier’s 14-4. — HNS
