Tulsa: John Daly fired the best round of this season but it was England’s Graeme Storm who took the first-round lead at the US PGA Championship. Storm fired a bogey-free five-under 65 to take a two-stroke lead over Daly. Tevez in Man U

MANCHESTER: English champions Manchester United finally completed the transfer of Argentine striker Carlos Tevez. United confirmed the 23-year-old forward had joined on a two-year loan. Tevez, who has been the subject of a long-running Premier League probe into third-party ownership, has been training with United all week. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has scheduled Tevez’s debut against Manchester City. — AFP
