RBB half marathon

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) is organising the RBB Open Men and Women’s Half Marathon on January 20 in Kathmandu. The race begins from the RBB central office in Sigha Durbar and goes through Bhadrakali, Sundhara, Ratna Park, Lainchaur, Maharajgunj, Basundhara, Balaju, Sitapaila, Kalanki, Kalimati, Thapathali, Maitighar before ending at the RBB complex. The top three runners will be awarded with Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.— HNS

KATHMANDU: The seven-member Martial Arts Games Management Committee, formed by the National Sports Council under the convenorship of its member Purendra Bikram Lakhe, submitted its report to the sports governing body on Tuesday. The committee has proposed, among others, to divide the martial arts games into two categories — official and non-official. Those games that fall in the Olympic sports have been termed as the official and rest of the others as non-official. — HNS
