C’ Division League

KATHMANDU: Nawa Jyoti Yuva Pariwar and Chakrapath Club advanced to the quarter-finals of the ‘C’ Division League Football on Wednesday. Nava Jyoti beat Friends Club 3-2. Ritu Raj Adhikari struck twice for Nava Jyoti and Kapil Sapkota scored another. Sudip Khadki and Anup Khadki scored for Friends. Friends was relegated from the league after the result. Chakrapath lost to Cannon Club 2-3 but still finished second in the group. Hercules Basnet scored twice and Biswo Lama scored the winner for Cannon. Roshan Manandhar and Niraj Magar scored for Chakrapath. — HNS

LALITPUR: Dipendra Police School humiliated Siddhartha Children Academy 7-0 and Shree Ram Shah Secondary School blanked Siddhiganesh School 5-0 in the Coca Cola Inter-school Football Tournament here today. Shyam Thapa scored twice while Birendrra Thapa, Chitiz Lama, Chiran Gurung, Asim Babu Gurung and Amrit Gurung added one each for Dipendra Police. Aman Kandel and Kaji Gurung scored two goals each and Dhiraj Shahi added another for Shree Ram Shah. — HNS
