Kabaddi selection

KATHMANDU: Nepal Kabaddi Association (NKA) completed its preliminary selection for the 10th South Asian Games scheduled for August 18-28 in Colombo. Among the 46 men selected, only 21 made it to the second round while 21 women were chosen from the total of 40. The final 12 in both the sections will be picked up later, NKA said on Saturday. — HNS

Chess tournament

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chess Association (NCA) is organising the Chandra Narayan Memorial Rapid Chess Championship from July 15-17 in Kathmandu. Each game will last for 30 minutes and would be handy as a preparation for the Asian Games where chess is included for the first time, the NCA said on Saturday. — HNS
