TOKYO: Lin Dan set the pace with a straight sets victory as defending champion China retained the Thomas Cup badminton team title defeating Denmark 3-0. Lin posted a 21-17, 21-19 win over Peter Gade; Chinese pair Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng defeated Jens Eriksen and Martin Hansen Lundgaard 19-21, 21-11, 21-18; and Bao Chunlai sealed the victory with a 21-12, 12-21, 21-12 over Kenneth Jonassen.
