Inter-school volleyball

KATHMANDU: The first SEB Inter-school Running Shield Boys’ Volleyball Tournament is scheduled for February 12-15 at the premises of organising Samakhushi English Boarding (SEB) School. About 32 teams are expected to take part in the Played under league-cum-knockout event, said the organisers. The league matches will be played in the best-of-three format while the knock out round will be of the best-of-five. The estimated budget of the tournament is Rs 120,000. — HNS

Central Dojo win

KATHMANDU: Central Dojo won five and Defense Club three gold medals in the Boxing and Kick-boxing Championship here on Saturday. Yam Bahadur Gurung (48kg), Kamal Tamang (54kg), Rajesh Bajracharya (57kg), Marpa Lama (60kg) and Abhinav Bohana (64kg) won kick-boxing gold medals for Central Dojo. Defense Dojo dominated in boxing winning both 51kg and 60kg categories. Dava Tamang won the 51kg title and Uddhav Thapa claimed the 60kg. Sanu Kancha Shreshta also gave the club 51kg title in the kick-boxing. — HNS
