White House win

LALITPUR: White House International College thrashed Rato Bangala 68-19 in the Rato Bangala Inter-college Boys Basketball Tournament here today. Nima Norbu Sherpa of White House top-scored in the match with 22 points, while Om Shrestha netted 10 points for Rato Bangala. In the other match, Bikash Serchan of Gyanodaya top-scored with 29 points but failed to save his college from a 53-61 loss to RIBS. Rupak Gurung scored 20 points for the winners. — HNS

VC Cup postponed

KATHMANDU: The organisers of the fourth Vice-Chancellor Running Shield Cricket Tournament, Free Students Union of TU, have postponed the tournament after the police arrested the organising committee members on Thursday morning. Issuing a press release, NSU president Bijay Kumar Rai, who is also the president of tournament committee, and NSU vice president Bhim Shris, the tournament convenor, said that the event will not be held till the next notice. DAV College and Nepal Law Campus were scheduled to play their quarter-final match today. — HNS
