Lincoln, LA win again

KATHMANDU:

Lincoln School and Little Angels’ School registered second straight wins at the Inter-High School Basketball League Tournament. Lincoln defeated Rato Bangala 69-31, riding on 22 points by Adrian Fishler, who was also the top-scorer on the first day. Om Shrestha netted 21 points for Rato Bangala. In the other match, Bilan Shrestha netted the winning two-pointer with just 27 seconds remaining as Little Angels’ School beat Gyanodaya 41-39. Bikash Serchan of Gyanodaya top-scored with 21 points, while Nabin Shrestha scored 17 points for LAS. — HNS

Goal Project approved

KATHMANDU:

The meeting of Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) Goal Project held in Zurich on Tuesday approved the second phase of FIFA Goal Project for Nepal. ANFA built three FIFA technical centres — one each in Lalitpur, Butwal and Dharan — in the first phase. According to ANFA, Sepp Blatter, president of FIFA, was also present on the meeting chaired by Mohamed Bin Hammam, president of the project and the Asian Football Confederation. ANFA can now built three bigger training centres in the second phase. — HNS
