Kathmandu, March 3

Rabindra Tiwari won the nett section Club Championship title, while Prithvi Malla and Sam Doublard claimed the gross and junior trophies here at the Gokarna Golf Club today.

Tiwari accumulated 540 points to finish first after the second and final round of the finals, while Gopal Chitrakar came second with 450 points and Devendra Bajgai was third with 380. Tiwari received Callaway iron set and golf bag.

Malla lifted the gross section Club Championship trophy with 800 points, while Chitrakar was second with 585 points and Tiwari came third with 530. Malla received Callaway rouge driver and golf bag.

Similarly, Doublard claimed the junior section title with 875 points, finishing ahead of Ang Phurba Sherpa (640) and Mayank Dahal (600). Doublard received Odyssey Putter and golf trolley.

Meanwhile, Tendi Sherpa won the title of the final tournament under the Surya Nepal Gokarna Monthly Medal with three-under 69 nett score. Tiwari came second on count back after he was tied with Prabhakar Adhikari on even-par 72.

Chitrakar won the gross section trophy with the score of 10-over 82, while Phurba Sherpa played a round of four-over 76 to claim the junior category title on count back after he was tied with Doublard.

A total of 25 golfers took part in the tournament organised by Gokarna Golf Club under the sponsorship of Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd. Gokarna Golf Club President Suhrid Ghimire and Captain Joseph Nathan handed over the prizes to the winners.
