KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club ‘A' and Xavier International recorded their second straight victories in the first Manmohan Memorial Open Basketball Tournament here on Monday.

In the men's section matches, TAC defeated Ballers 74-51 riding on Sadish Pradhan's 24 points, while Xavier edged past TAC ‘B' 74-72 in which Nikesh Magar top scored for the winners with 23 points.

Also, Biraj Rana scored 17 points as Budhanilkantha beat Universal 79-62.

In women's section, Samriddha Gorillas thrashed Necos 48-5 riding on 15 points from Muna Maharjan.

Budhanilkantha advanced to the semi-finals along with Saipal as Necos faced their second straight defeat in the three-team Group B.
