KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club’s Ratnajit Tamang and Dipesh Dhami entered the men’s singles pre-quarters of the Zest Open Badminton Tournament here on Sunday.

Tamang beat Prince Dahal 21-13, 21-8, while Dhami edged past Bharun 21-11, 21-8.

Likewise, Bishnu Katuwal of Nepal Police Club recorded a 21-16, 21-11 win against Rupesh Maharjan of TAC, while Gauchan Kathayet beat Nepal APF Club’s Sudip Sedhai 21-13, 21-12.

Sanjib Khadka of Kailali, TAC’s Nabin Shrestha, APF’s Bijit Thapa Magar and Bikash Shrestha of Bhojpur also made it to the round of 16 of the tournament.
