LAMJUNG: The 24th Triveni Cup Nationwide Open Football Tournament began here on Sunday.

A total of 27 teams, including clubs from Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bharatpur, Khaireni, Mugling, Manang and Lamjung, are taking part in the tournament, informed the Triveni Youth Club President Govinda Basnet.

The champion team will earn Rs 150,000, while the runners-up will get Rs 80,000.

Likewise, the losing semi-finalists will get Rs 30,000 each, while the best player and highest scorer will be awarded with Rs 10,000 each and the best goalkeeper and defender will receive Rs 5,000 apiece.
