LALITPUR: A 10-member Nepali team is on Monday leaving for South Korea to participate in the second SPCA Table Tennis Championship slated for April 10-18 in Seoul.
Yongi Poudel, Aster Chaudhary and Ashish Mahata are junior players in the team, while Purna Shankar Shrestha, Suman Khadgi, Aroj Kumar Khadgi, Surendra Shahi and Sangha Ratna Dangol are veteran players.
ITTF Level-II coach Jackie Maharjan will accompany the players to South Korea.
After the tournament, junior players Poudel, Chaudhary and Mahata will undergo three-month training in South Korea. Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiri Babu Maharjan bade farewell to the team on Sunday. - HNS
